Ms. Phillips-Hungerford has worked as an architect since the early 1980s, is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and is registered with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that architects are properly qualified for certification in the states where they are registered. In addition to her practice, she teaches at the Boston Architectural College in Boston, Massachusetts. Ms. Phillips-Hungerford is registered in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Her work experience covers residential, institutional and commercial work. She has cultivated a specialty in environmentally responsible design practices, as exemplified in her work with the Union Mill Project in West Peterborough, New Hampshire. Residential project work includes new builds, renovations, and additions for both individual clients and commercial developers. Institutional and commercial projects range from town halls to dormitories to 30,000 square foot mixed-use commercial buildings. She received her Masters of Architecture from the University of Colorado in 1987 and she graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design. Ms. Phillips-Hungerford also studied abroad at the University of Copenhagen at the Royal Danish School of Architecture.
